Intermediate Levels
In our Intermediate levels, dancers begin learning more complex combinations and variations, allowing grace, poise, and balance to become even more developed.
In Level 3, pre-pointe work is introduced, and in Level 4, some students may be ready to begin their journey en pointe, subject to teacher approval.
To be considered for pointe work, dancers must first meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least 10 years old.
- Attend ballet class a minimum of three times per week.
Meeting these requirements does not automatically qualify a dancer for pointe shoes. They simply make a dancer eligible to be evaluated. Teachers will then assess each student’s strength, technique, alignment, maturity, and overall readiness before inviting them to begin pointe work.
